At the end of this week, Knife River will have gravel in place at Bembrick Street and Cottonwood. The school kids coming from the east side of Cottonwood will be able to cross at Bembrick safely. They will also be placing some extra gravel across the Cottonwood work zone on the north side of Durston so school kids can cross there also.
Over Labor Day weekend, Cottonwood will have access from both the Durston end and the Babcock end so there should be good access to Bronken Park. (As a heads up, there is a large (100 teams) soccer tournament this Saturday and Sunday, so access to Petra will be tricky.) Knife River will follow up later this week as to which end of the project vehicles need to use to access Petra and Bronken Park after Labor Day. Please direct any questions to Steve Baeth, project coordinator.
