BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The purpose of the Board of Trustees for Petra Academy is to define and guard the school’s mission, values, vision, and purpose. Utilizing strategic planning and focusing on the long-term success, the board seeks to realize the goals necessary to maintain the health of the school and further develop a culture and community within Petra that promotes the values of Classical Christian Education. Overall, while ensuring that Petra graduates intelligent Christians who can lead the church and impact culture is the work of our administrative leadership and faculty; the Board of Trustees focuses on the overriding policies, philosophies and strategies of the school, the financial stability of the school, the growth of capital assets and endowments for the school, and the direction of the board’s one employee, the Head of School. The Head of School implements the policies of the Board and serves as the chief administrative officer of Petra Academy. The Board of Trustees and the Head of School work together to ensure the success and future of Petra and the values and culture of the community are thriving.
