Now in our 27th year, Petra Academy is Montana’s oldest and Bozeman’s only five-day-a-week classical Christian school. With over 250 Pre-K through 12th-grade students and 40 full- and part-time faculty and staff engaging on a scenic 20-acre campus on the ever-growing west side of town, Petra is uniquely positioned to help parents in the Gallatin Valley teach and reinforce to their students truth, beauty, and goodness. And those three things are at the heart of our mission:
The mission of Petra Academy is to partner with parents to cultivate faithful Christian students who delight in truth, beauty, and goodness in their worship, work, and service.
Good parents want their children to grow up to be good people. And most want a community of like-hearted people to help along the way. We partner with parents to reassure them in their school pursuit to see their children faithfully stand out in the world. Parents want their children to have the best chance of being successful and have an opportunity to grow excellence. This is where Petra Academy can help. As an accredited member of the Association of Classical and Christian Schools (ACCS), we recognize all that is at stake in the decisions parents make for their children. And we know evaluating educational options can be complicated at times, but we also know how to come alongside and help. And we’ve been doing since 1995. Through our partnership with parents, we provide regular feedback about student progress that so many schools are unable to offer. Smaller classes and teachers who really want to get to know your student are standard, while our classical curriculum and Christian culture are anything but. Please take some time and explore our website, watch our videos, read our blogs, and visit our school. We promise to collaborate on a plan to help your student flourish!
